Veterans Choice Program May Allow Care From Non-VA Doctors

Posted by Jim Miron | Jun 22, 2015 | 0 Comments

Health care for veterans has been a topic in the news lately with the VA scandal, veterans returning from duty with physical and mental health issues.

As a veteran and grateful American I believe that nothing is more important that ensuring each veteran receives the very best care our country has to offer.  The President and the Congress need to ensure that legislation, oversight and funding are a top priority moving forward.

The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is addressing this issue, in part, with the Veterans Choice Program.  If a veteran is already enrolled in VA health care, the Choice Program allows he veteran to get health care from non-VA doctors. Using this program does NOT impact the veterans existing VA health care, or any other VA benefit.

The Department of Veteran Affairs is hosting a live Google Hangout about the new Veterans Choice Program.J
