BridgeportPersonalInjury.com supports the mission of The National Safety Council, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities and on the road through leadership, research, education and advocacy.
The National Safety Council was founded in 1913 and chartered by Congress. For over 100 years it has worked to help prevent unintentional injuries and deaths by providing knowledge and resources to make an impact where the most preventable injuries and deaths occur, in areas such as distracted driving, teen driving, workplace safety and beyond the workplace, particularly in and near our homes.
The National Safety Council celebrates June as National Safety Month as a time to bring attention to key safety issues.
The National Safety Council Timeline is a fascinating look into the storied history of this organization and the evolution of safety in America.*tip Use a home safety checklist as you walk through each room in your home and check for hazards. You should check off each item on the list (when applicable to your home). If you are unable to check off an item, be sure to fix it within an appropriate time frame.
